November 1999 and Nick Humphreys set up Nicholas J Humphreys from his dining room on Forest Road in Loughborough ; with the aim of offering a vastly better lettings service than those already in existence.

As an estate agent for all of his working life (since 1986) and as a landlord himself since the tender age of 18 he was seriously dissatisfied with the inadequate, antiquated services on offer from other lettings agents.

12 years later, Nicholas Humphreys now has eight offices with more planned, a staff of around 60 and over 2500 managed properties on its books.

A father to Grace Annabel and Henry in his private time Nick who is 40 this year enjoys keeping fit and spending time at his house in the Languedoc with his wife Emma. That apart Nick is as a lifelong supporter of Leicester City, real ale fan and very average golfer.

Nick is also a generous supporter of RAINBOWS the local children's hospice for whom he has raised tens of thousands of pounds over the years, via amongst other things charity balls, golf days and running the London marathon.

Educated at the Loughborough Grammar School and following a 14 year management career in the retail sector James came to Nicholas Humphreys in early 2002, already as an experienced landlord. His career started in Burton upon Trent and has continued in the areas where the company have successfully acquired new businesses along the way, in Derby and Leicester.

James was proud to be appointed as board director in 2004 given the responsibility of managing the operations of the company which has since successfully expanded to eight offices with a fantastic team of over 60 colleagues. A family man who enjoys the outdoors in his spare time.

Tim was educated locally at Loughborough Grammar School before going on to Nottingham Trent University. He trained at a leading Leicestershire firm of Chartered Accountants and stayed with that firm for 7 years.

He joined the business in late 2000 and has seen the business expand from 2 offices in 2000 to the 8 offices today. He became Finance Director in 2004. In his spare time he is an avid follower of the England Cricket Team and enjoys fine food and wine.

Naomi joined Nicholas Humphreys on a part time basis in March 2000 and quickly became a full time member of staff based at the original Nicholas Humphreys' office in Loughborough dealing with both professional and student lettings. Her responsibilities within the company have changed significantly over the past 10 years as the company has grown and expanded, most notably when appointed student lettings Director in 2004 and is currently based at the student lettings office on Ashby Road in Loughborough.

Naomi is very proud to be the longest serving member of the Nicholas J Humphreys' team (excluding Nick, of course!) and has also managed to remain married and raise a young family whilst working in this pressurised working environment.
